We're in Denton visiting Cayla and Kaleo. I miss my best friend!

The Conners are staying with us tonight since they have an early flight tomorrow. And since they were in town, we went out to celebrate my new job! On top of a delicious dinner, they even bought me some (much needed) professional clothes. I have the best in-laws ever!

Tonight we made a delicious stir-fry dish. It was our own take on Szechuan Tofu. Success.

I used the eggs from this weekend to make egg salad and deviled eggs. At first I thought it would be weird to eat colored eggs, but they actually look pretty cool.

Happy Easter!

This weekend we were in Alexandria at Grandma Conner's house. We even got to go to the zoo! I love zoos. This was a neat picture, he looks like a giant Wikkit.

My little flowers are sprouting just in time, happy Earth Day!!!

I love grilling now. Everything tastes better and it's a good excuse to be outside. We grilled veggie burgers and potato skins. Mmmm mmmm!

The elliptical we ordered finally came in! And you should be impressed that I was able to put it together myself :) It would have been much easier with 4 hands, but I wanted to surprise Trey with it when he got home.

I bought some new clothes for my interview later this week, but the pants were just a bit too long. My hemming skills are pretty great.

I spent some time outside pulling up weeds on the patio today. No one lived here before us, so grass and weeds were everywhere. It's much better now.

We went for a long walk around the neighborhood and followed it up with a cold glass of cherry Kool-Aid. Lovely day.

Today was National Record Store Day, so we spent a beautiful Saturday at Good Records enjoying free music.

Tonight we grilled salmon and made the most amazing potatoes. They are heavenly. You need to try these. Ok, get 2 potatoes, diced; 1 small onion, cut up; 1-2 garlic cloves, minced; salt & pepper (and Tony's if you're like us); splash of olive oil. Put it all in a foil pouch, top it off with 1-2 T of butter, seal the pouch and put it on the grill for 15-20 min and flip it a few times. You're welcome.

We had a terrible hail storm! It sounded like someone was throwing gravel at our windows. I've never seen that much hail before, it looked like it had snowed. Luckily none of it was large enough to dent our cars. Exciting night!

Today is our cats' birthday, they turned 4. Happy birthday cats!
Also, I had an interview today for a job I really want. They asked me to come back for a second interview next week, so that's good. I just hope they pick me in the end.

Apparently today was National Grilled Cheese Day. I didn't know this was actually a "thing" but we went to Norma's Cafe for a free grilled cheese sandwich nonetheless.

We had to stay in today because the plumber was supposed to work on our water heater. It was a nice day though, I'm glad we have a little yard to relax in.

We cooked out tonight with homemade onion rings and fresh grilled salmon burgers.

Super tasty all around. Happy Saturday!!!

Tonight we made green curry for dinner. So good!

Date night!!! Tonight we made Hawaiian BBQ Tilapia, scalloped potatoes, and green beans. My parents used to have to force me to finish my green beans, now I buy and eat them voluntarily. I guess I'm growing up!

So remember how much I love to bake cookies? I shouldn't eat so many cookies. That's why I've been watching this 10 year old workout DVD. I'm so sore, but I enjoy it!

It's nice to have cookie dough in the fridge and just make a few warm cookies whenever I want.  Cookies are my favorite. Everything should taste like cookies.

Last night we had a nice, windy, thundery storm. It made the weather a bit cooler today and the cats went crazy. Tilly spent a good amount of time going from the ground, to the counter top, to the fridge, and to the top of the cabinets and back down again.

We found a cool park near our new home, it's actually a nature preserve. We spent a good bit of our afternoon walking down all the trails, and even exploring off the path too. Bunny!

To celebrate Trey's promotion we went out to eat and went to see a movie. It's been a great night. He's not upset in this picture, he is just concentrating really hard on those tacos.

While we were out today we stopped at Petco. It was cat adoption day, so we couldn't just leave without petting them. I mean the only reason we went in there was to pet animals. Don't worry, the only thing we got was cat treats.
PS- there is a second cat under the bed, so cute!
