Since my cousin & I have birthdays within a week of each other we had a joint celebration today. We played laser tag, went bowling and had cookie cake. It was a good day, but I'm glad to be back home again.

We went ice skating today! Most of my extended family is in Katy for the holidays so it has been a lot of fun.

We drove to Longview this morning to see Trey's family. They had a big Christmas Eve party with lots of good food, then we played board games. Also, Trey found his old Buzz and Woody toys, he's so cute.

Our good friend, Nathan, came from Longview to visit us for the day. Then Cayla came over and we all cooked dinner together.

Tonight we got to see a lunar eclipse, which was really awesome. I think it was fairly cloudy around the rest of the state, but we were lucky enough to be able to watch the whole thing.

We celebrated Christmas with my parents this weekend since we won't be with them on Christmas day. I got a Android and Trey got a Blu-Ray player (among other awesome things). It was a pretty great (pre) Christmas.

Tilly worships the space heater. If she gets cold (when it is off) she sits right in front of it so we know she wants us to turn it on. As you can see in this picture, she is very pleased.

On my night off Trey and I went to see an awesome band called Mister Heavenly. We even got Michael Cera to autograph Trey's Scott Pilgrim shirt! In other news, we've been married 100 days, woot!

Girl day! Trey is out of town so Cayla and I went shopping, out to eat, baked, and stayed up talking all night. I miss Trey, but I'm glad I'm not alone. I love Cayla.

We went for a brisk walk through campus today. It looks quite wintry outside.

When I came home from work there was a whole tofurky dinner with all the fixings waiting for me, prepared by my amazing husband. The cats joined us and we had a lovely family meal.

I'm making stockings! I have no idea what I'm doing (not using a pattern or anything) so they're really simple, but they're going to be awesome because I made them.

We decided to try out a new Chinese buffet today before work. I think it is the best one we've been to in Denton. Nothing beats China King in Longview though, haha. I know it looks bad, but we rarely overload on fried things. And who can turn down crab wontons and corn nugets?

Well, the cats are certainly enjoying our tree. I would guess that about 3 ornaments a day will get knocked off until we take it down and probably a handful of pine-bristles will be eaten. Tilly looks pretty adorable as she takes a break from terrorizing the tree.

We've been taking care of Caylaloku's rats the last few days. They're so sweet. Black Friday was pretty hectic, but I'm glad I didn't have to go to work at 4 AM.

Our first Thanksgiving as a married couple! We went to Maggiano's for dinner (which was awesome - so much food) and I made an amazing pumpkin pie. Now we are going to watch Christmas Vacation.

Getting ready for Thanksgiving! I can't wait until I have a real kitchen table and can host a real dinner. My parents will be in Denton late tonight to spend Thursday with us.

Today was a date day. I didn't have work so after dropping Cayla off at the train station Trey and I went to see the new Harry Potter movie, went shopping, then came home to make quesadillas.

We started cleaning up the apartment for Thanksgiving. This holiday season will definitely be different from any others we've had before, but we're making the most of it.

Saints won! Our usual Sunday Saints Night was interrupted by Emily's work, but we were still happy that they won and celebrated accordingly.

Today we met Trey's mom, sister, and grandma in Garland to go Christmas shopping at the Firewheel mall. Hooray for holidaytime!!!

We were pretty lazy today. Trey isn't feeling 100% so we took it easy. Before I went to work we went for a walk around downtown and browsed around some of the junk shops.

A new Five Guys/Del Taco opened up in Denton and since we've never been to one, we decided to try it out. It was really good, they even have a veggie sandwich (well, it's a burger minus the burger, haha). We got the Cajun fries and they were pretty spicy. Tasty, but spicy.

We had a hankerin' for some stuffed crust pizza so we went to the store and got a frozen pizza, garlic bread & I made a tasty marinara sauce. Mmmmmm...

I don't have work tomorrow so we stayed up late to have a Pauly Shore & Brendan Fraser movie marathon. Coffee, RC Cola, and queso. We make the best queso.

It has been quite cold the past few days.  We have all been compensating by snuggling up together on the couch.

No work today, which means I got to cook dinner and enjoy an evening with Trey! Marinated salmon, salad, cheesy broccoli, and potato salad. Mmmmm...

Between Trey's interviews and my late shift we squeezed in a bit of relaxing park time.

Today we got stuff done. We did some house hunting around town, got Trey's car inspected, went to Sam's (5lbs of carrots and a ton of veggie burgers on the cheap), and made quesadillas for dinner. I'm excited about moving into a bigger place; we still have a lot of searching to do though.
