While I was making Trey's sandwich Tilly wouldn't leave me alone, so I gave her a slice of bread. She ate quite a bit. It doesn't surprise me though, when she was younger I learned my lesson. I bought bread and left it out on the counter and when I wasn't looking she sat on the loaf, chewed through the plastic, and ate the crust off the bread. Never again.

We've been trying to go on walks in the evenings. I really like our new neighborhood, it's so quiet and pleasant.
206
There is nothing wrong with loving Goldfish at age 24 is there? I make it classy and eat out of a teacup. Flavor blasted cheddar is the best.

Making Trey's lunch for tomorrow. The "smoked ham" is surprisingly delicious. Since it has been so long since I've had a sandwich, I actually look forward to having one for lunch sometimes.

We enjoyed our morning with Trey's family at church and lunch, then spent the afternoon with Jesse and our friends since today was his birthday. Now we're back at home again!
203
Today two of our friends got married at a beautiful vineyard in East Texas. It was a lot of fun and it was really good to see a bunch of our friends there.

This afternoon we drove to Longview and made it just in time to go eat at Pizza King with Trey's family. Of course, we couldn't leave until Trey won a bouncy ball, haha.
201
For date-night dinner this week we made cheese tortellini with "chicken" in a pink sauce, it was so delicious. I can't wait to eat the leftovers!

I made a trip to Sam's to get some basics. We go through so much salsa that it only makes sense to buy chips in bulk. And cheese, we're cheese fans.

Woo-hoo, we finally got internet set up! I can't believe we made it this long without internet, haha. Our Androids helped us through it, but it's nice to be able to use our laptops.
197
It was certainly a long drive home. Traffic from SXSW clogged I-35 all the way to Dallas. We inched along so slowly, it took us twice as long as it should have to get home.

We've had a lot of fun so far. It's really nice to be able to see all of our friends and listen to live music. The weather has been gorgeous too, I've enjoyed being in the sunshine.
195
I got Terrance from the airport, met Nathan at our house, and picked up Trey from work, then we all headed out to Austin for SXSW.
194
Pretty much our favorite snack. They give you terrible breath, but they're so flavorful! Just getting ready for our road trip.
192
I finally got a chance to go thrifting in our new area. Didn't find anything cool, but I did find these treasures: decapitated animal flip-flops, haha!
191
We have been watching the Terminator series recently. Working our way up to #4. So far they're pretty silly.

Spent our Saturday afternoon at Starbucks. Just a few more days until they install internet in our house.
187
Things are finally feeling normal again. We made tonight a date night and cooked salmon, potatoes & broccoli.
186
The cats are really enjoying being able to go outside. Wikkit is still afraid of everything though, I think here he is attacking a twig or a rock or something.

We bought a rug! The tile gets is cold and hard sometimes, the rug makes our living room feel a lot more homey.
184
With all the unpacking and cleaning, a pitcher of tea doesn't last 24 hours. I love tea. But I don't like being home without Trey every weekday.
183
We got a fridge! Our old one kept things cool, but not acceptably cold (or frozen) so it was only a matter of time before we had to go buy a new one. It's our first grown-up purchase.

In all the chaos of moving the bag of cat food got left out. Lesson learned: keep the bag hidden from cats.
179
I can't wait until it starts feeling like home. We'll get there before too long. Just a few more homey additions and a lot more boxes to go through.
178
I spent all afternoon baking cookies for the neighbors so we could introduce ourselves, but only 2 people answered their doors. I even saw some of them were home, they just didn't come to the door. Moderately upsetting. More cookies for us, I guess.
