Some of our friends came to visit this weekend and we went to a Halloween party. We make a pretty cute Scott & Ramona.

We got festive tonight and hung little ghosts around our front door. I can't believe no one else in our apartment complex has a pumpkin, what fun is Halloween if you don't carve a pumpkin? Our pumpkin is out but we're going to carve it tomorrow.

I finally got a chance to use my Kitchen Aid and I love it! Cayla, Trey and I made chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies for Halloween weekend.

We started working on our Halloween costumes today. I'm actually kind of excited, I haven't had a real costume since I was in elementary. Woot!

For our wedding presents to each other we bought tickets to see Jónsi perform and the concert was tonight. When Trey proposed he had a Sigur Rós (Jónsi is the lead singer) song playing, so it was a special present and a special night.

After the Saints lost we played several riveting games of Pente and spent the rest of the afternoon at the park. Cayla gets total credit for this awesome picture.

Today was my clean day.  I packed away some of our wedding gifts we aren't using yet, they were cluttering up the living room pretty bad. The apartment hasn't looked this nice in months, haha. Trey's camping trip was cut a bit short so I went and picked him up from Jordan's late last night. He unpacked the necessities and crashed.

Before Trey left we went out to dinner at a cool place in Firewheel, but then I dropped him off at Jordan's to go camping with his friends. I spent my evening with Cayla, Kaleo, and Lacey, which was really nice. I miss Trey a lot though. 
I left our mark on Cayla's fridge. For the sake of love.

Well, we're growing up. I got a job and we got a Sam's Club card! Cayla and I went in together to get a joint membership and we got a pumpkin cheesecake to celebrate my new job at Target.

Mostly today was spent cleaning, writing thank you notes, and applying for jobs. We finished off the day with a long walk and now we're going to watch a movie.

Today was beautiful so we spent most of our afternoon at the park playing frisbee and tennis. I love days like this. I love my husband.

This afternoon Trey and I played tennis with our new racquets and made quesadillas for dinner. Then Cayla and I made a snickerdoodle pie- SO good! Now we're all going to watch a scary movie. Hooray for fall!

Well, today wasn't too exciting. We were going to go to the fair, but Trey and his friends made plans to go camping, but then they postponed the trip so Trey and I just went to On The Border and spent the evening together. Since we were lame, here is a picture of Tilly.

After my test Trey had another interview, then we went to Target to buy tennis rackets (Trey is pretty excited about being able to play tennis now). Later we cooked a nice rigatoni pasta dinner, and afterwards we went to a Spooky Folk show.

I spent most of the day studying, Trey went running so I would be less distracted. Now I'm done so we can play our new Smash Bros game!

We're in Longview this weekend to celebrate Trey's mom's birthday. We had a long dinner at Cotton Patch and then opened the last of our wedding presents.

Tonight was date night! Dinner and a movie. Always a good idea. The Rave theater has a lot of popcorn salts you can use, ranch is totally the best.

Today was a productive day. We went to the DPS to get new licenses, returned a couple of duplicate gifts, went to the park with Cayla, and we made the most delicious macaroni & cheese. I took a family recipe and added some stuff to make it more awesome (like the crunchy, cheesy, buttery topping). The only downside to cooking: dirty dishes.

I had class and we got groceries. That's all, really. 
Tilly loves attacking the shopping bags. She's so cute.

It's our onemonthaversary! 


We drove back to Texas after a nice visit with my parents and made it to the screening of RED in Dallas this evening (it was really good, by the way). We "earned" a free Subway gift card last week by listening to a sales pitch for about 10 minutes; it was worth a free lunch.

After the Saints game we spent a beautiful afternoon in the state park. Lots of swamps, but no alligators.

Meet Jack. He is the best cat in the world.
We saw The Legend of the Guardians (owl movie) and it was really good. Then we went to dinner where we had the best po' boys ever. 
Also, happy birthday, Mom (and Aunt Deena too)!

Tomorrow is my mom's birthday, but we celebrated it today. We visited her at school, then baked a cake and blew up balloons for her then went out to dinner.

We drove to Lake Charles for my mom's birthday. Long drives are always made better with snacks.
